This rare Newport 15 HMCo #919 is in fine condition and coming up on her 100th birthday! A classic daysailor, she was restored by George Zachorne thirty years ago and she still has her original spars. SEAHAWK is a Marconi sloop with a slightly deeper keel at 2’9” than other Newport 15s at 2’ 3”. The fifteen-footer was one of the most popular products of the Herreshoff Marine Co. – 92 boats were built to the design between 1899 and 1928. Only the S-Boat, with 94 crafted, and the venerable 12 1/2, with 364 crafted, were more sought after.
